Betting on a team to win either half of a game is a straightforward bet that is often used to bet on an underdog who is likely provide a stern test for their opponent. When you place a bet on a team to win either half, the full time result is irrelevant.
Holyodds offers two choices for Win Either Half Betting Predictions: Home Win Either Half Prediction and Away Win Either Half Prediction. this is an option that requires you to bet on either the Home Team or the Away Team to outscore the other in either half of a football match. Injury time is included in these betting options, but extra time is not.
This bet type is extremely popular among punters and falls under the category of a Single Bet. You don’t need to predict the winner of a match, and the team you have bet on doesn’t need to win the match either. The team that you have punted on must score more goals than their opponent, in either of the two halves of that particular football match.
To help you understand how this sort of wager works, here is an example:
Let’s say Napoli are playing against Barcelona, and the former go on to score two goals in the First half, compared to Barcelona who score one. The latter then score two goals in the Second Half, compared to Napoli who score one.
The match ends 3-3*. In this particular example, betting on either team will give you the win, albeit with different odds in favour of the two selections. This is because Napoli won the first half 2-1 while Barcelona won the second half 1-2.
On the other hand, if after the first half (which ended 2-1 for Napoli), Barcelona and Napoli score a goal each in the second half, only Napoli would win a ‘To win either half bet’ as the second half would count as a draw.
